Injectables

BOTOX® Cosmetic injection is a wrinkle reduction procedure that can reduce or eliminate wrinkles in the face, including forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet around the eyes. It is not surgery and there is no chance of scarring. It is safe, and you can resume all your activities immediately after treatment.

The number of injections depends on the amount of area being treated. Repeat injections may be recommended every three to four months during the first year to keep the muscles blocked and allow the skin to smooth out. The injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are evident in 3 to 5 days. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. So you can step into our office for treatment and step right back into your life.

Xeomin

Xeomin® injections are used to block the release of chemicals that cause frown lines. Frown lines are formed when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines.

Jeuveau

Jeuveau is an injectable neurotoxin that is designed to smooth lines between the eyebrows as well as the look of frown lines. It is the first neurotoxin specifically designed to treat the aesthetic challenges of unwanted lines by reducing noticeable wrinkles. When injected, Jeuveau relaxes the facial muscles at the injection point preventing a creation of deep wrinkles and inhibiting the formation of new wrinkles. When compared to BOTOX, Jeuveau produces similar results without noticeable adverse effects.

Dysport

Dysport is a filler primarily for adults under 65 who have moderate to severe Glabellar wrinkles, often referred to as the “11” between the eyes. Over time, glabella lines develop when skin loses collagen – which is the protein fiber responsible for the elasticity in the skin. Dysport is intended to provide immediate and natural looking results by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, and the results typically last up to 5 months. Dysport may not be right for you if you have droopy or sagging eyelids, challenges with oily skin, weak muscles in the treatment area, or if you have had prior surgery to that area of the face.

Juvederm

Juvedérm Voluma® XC adds volume to correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks to help create a more youthful appearance. Wrinkles and lines aren’t the only signs of aging. Over time, the cheeks flatten, and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. Juvedérm Voluma® XC  is designed to add volume beneath the skin’s surface to life and contour the cheek area.

Juvedérm Volbella® XC adds subtle volume to lips and softens the appearance of vertical lip lines with less swelling and is proven to last up to 1 year. Some people simply have naturally thin lips and just want to achieve a fuller appearance. Other people have noticed their lips thinning over time and may also have vertical lip lines become more noticeable. Juvedérm Ultra® XC is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines, increase volume in lips and soften the appearance of the nasolabial folds.

Restylane

Restylane is a clear gel natural dermal filler that is formulated to mirror the body’s natural production of hyaluronic acid. It is a long-lasting cosmetic solution; however, it is not permanent. Restylane is injected into the treated area using a fine needle. The gel provides volume and helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and create fuller lips.

Treatments are recommended every 6-12 months – depending on the treatment area and the individual. Some side effects might include swelling, itching, skin discoloration, and temporary tenderness or pain. The most common areas Restylane is applied to patients are the cheeks, the area around the mouth and lips, the neck, and hands. Injections made to the brow and jaw line area can create the appearance of a facelift. 

Teosyal

Teosyal is a hyaluronic acid filler that contains a dermal-reconstruction complex made up of 8 amino acids. The formula in Teosyal plays a crucial role in both building and repairing aging skin by renewing moisture and hydration levels in the skin. Teosyal is an excellent solution for smoothing deep lines and wrinkles, restoring volume on the face, and providing a natural plumping effect for the lips.

Patients typically need injections once a year to ensure that the desired look is preserved to the individual’s liking. Some side effects such as swelling and redness at the injection site can be expected; however, the swelling should subside after 2 to 3 days. Any bruising that occurs might linger for 5 to 10 days based upon the individual. 

Belotero

Belotero is a filler that is hyaluronic acid based. This filler is thinner than some of the other options, and therefore, it is metabolized more rapidly.  Because of this, the results of Belotero typically last 6-9 months. Patients can see results immediately after this treatment with an aesthetic effect that minimizes lines, volumizes lips, and can also depress scars resulting from acne. 

Radiesse

Radiesse is an injectable dermal filler that can function as a non-surgical facelift by defining and contouring facial shape. This filler is designed to provide volume to deep folds and sunken cheeks in the lower and mid face. Radiesse stimulates the body’s collagen elastin so that skin stays firm – yielding a smoother, more contoured appearance.

The active ingredient in Radiesse is calcium hydroxyapatite, which has a tendency to minimize negative reactions for a majority of treated individuals. If a patient has a history of severe allergies, you may not be eligible for Radiesse. Much like other fillers, the effects of Radiesse are temporary; however, results typically last 12-18 months due to the fact that Radiesse has been shown to actually stimulate collagen production.
